Jordan inks USD52.7M funding contract with UK
(MENAFN) As stated by Al-Mamlaka TV on Sunday, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh inked a funding contract with the British minster of State for Asia and the Middle East Amanda Milling, valued at £50.2 million (nearly 52.7 million).
In line with an announcement released by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, the funding is supplied by the UK administration to help the Jordanian administration’s works to grow the communal safety net within the plan of the implementation of the National Social Protection Strategy.
The statement noted that the venture, to be applied in the upcoming five years, is going to “enhance social and economic resilience in Jordan”.
In line with the announcement the venture includes support for the Estidama ++ program to grow the base of social security attention through the Social Security general association in support with related authorities including the Social Development Ministry as well as the National Aid Fund.
