Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will delay flights to Moscow till further notice
(MENAFN) After operations to Russia were halted earlier the current year, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, a joint venture between Hungary-based Wizz Air and United Arab Emirates holding firm ADQ, announced it is going to postpone flights to Moscow until further notice.
In a statement released on Friday, the low-cost carrier stated, “Wizz Air regrets to inform its customers that the airline has had to defer the start of operations from Abu Dhabi to Moscow due to industry supply chain limitations.”
The airline announced earlier the current month that starting on October 3, it is going to run a daily service to Moscow, with flights beginning at Dh359 (USD97.7).
The airline stated it is going tp inform passengers who have bookings on these flights with alternatives to get refunds in the original form of payment or a credit worth 120 percent of the ticket price that may be applied on Wizz flights and services.
The airline had previously stated that flights to Moscow, its first Russian destination, would begin in December. Moreover, on February 27, it stopped operating flights to Moscow as a result of Russia's military campaign against Ukraine.
