Iran’s shipments to EU rises 31 percent in January-August
(MENAFN) The worth of Iran’s shipment to the European Union (EU)’s member states jumped 31 percent in the opening eight months of this year, in comparison to the same time span last year, in line with the figures issued by the European Union's statistics office Eurostat.
The Eurostat’s data indicated that Iran shipped commodities valued USD727 million to the union in the eight-month time span of this current year, whereas the number stood at USD555 million in the same period of the prior year, IRNA mentioned in a report.
The EU’s shipment to Iran has also surged 28 percent to USD2.676 billion from USD2.094 billion.
As shown by the Eurostat, the overall value of exchange among Iran and the European Union amounted to USD3.403 billion in the first eight months of this year, whereas the number reached USD2.649 billion in the January-August period of last year.
Between the EU member states, Germany was Iran’s highest exchange partner in the stated eight months, constituting for 64 percent of Iran’s overall exchange with the union.
