Clean energy constitutes in 14 percent of Dubai’s overall power output volume
(MENAFN) Dubai’s output volume of clean energy utilizing photovoltaic solar power and concentrated solar power has amounted to 2,027 megawatts, according to Saeed Mohammed Al-Tayer, head director and chief executive of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.
Indicating Dubai’s determinations to supporting sustainability and transition with the aim of a maintainable green economy, he declared that this is around 14 percent of Dubai’s overall power output volume of 14,517 MW.
Al-Tayer made the declaration throughout his trip to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Solar Park, which DEWA is forcing. This is the biggest single-site solar park across the whole world utilizing the Independent Power Producer model.
The solar park is going to have an output volume of 5,000 MW by the end of this decade, utilizing PV solar panels as well as CSP technologies.
Al-Tayer reviewed the expansion of work in the fourth stage of the park, where 417MW has been associated to DEWA’s grid. This contains 217MW from PV solar panels, as well as 200MW from CSP utilizing parabolic basins. The 4th stage of the solar park is 92 percent finished.
