Egypt’s shipments to China surges by almost 21 percent last year
(MENAFN) Egypt’s shipment to China rose by 20.8 percent to reach USD1.7 billion in the initial 11 months of last year, in comparison with USD1.4 billion in the same time span of the year before (2021), as shown by Egypt’s Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, also known as CAPMAS.
Egypt’s imports from China amounted to an overall of USD13.2 billion in the first 11 months of last year, rising from USD13.1 billion in the same time span on the year before (2021), indicating a 0.6 percent rise.
As shown by the official data, exchange among Egypt and China rose by 2.6 percent throughout the opening 11 months of last year, amounting to USD14.9 billion from USD14.5 billion throughout the same time span in 2021.
The leading 10 categories of goods sent by Egypt to China throughout the time span were fuel, mineral oils as well as distillate outputs, cotton, and fruits, amounting to USD1.3 billion, USD104.3 million, and USD76.8 million, individually.
Organic chemical items valued at USD868.5 million and equipment and electrical gadgets amounting to USD2.6 billion were between the leading 10 commodity categories shipped in by Egypt from China.
