    Omani hotels jump 8.7 percent in revenue

    (MENAFN) Oman recorded an 8.7 percent jump in its hotels revenue from January to August this year, reaching OMR131.96 million.

    Oman's rate of hotel occupancy also saw a 3.4 percent boost to stand at 56.5 percent during the first eight months of 2018.

    The figures were released in a monthly statistics the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) conducted.

    Omani hotels received less guests during the period compared to a year ago, with a 5.3 percent fall to see 942,514 arrivals from 995,541.

    Hotels in Oman received 317,444 European guests, a 13.6 percent drop compared to the same period last year.
