Cryptocurrency Saudi-UAE project close to finalization mid-2019
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia and the UAE are expected to see their joint cryptocurrency initiative close to conclusion by the middle of next year.
The statement was made by head of innovation at the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), Mohsen Al Zahrani during an interview with Saudi Press Agency.
The Saudi cryptocurrency project is looking to provide specific banks with cross-border payments.
On the sidelines of the Blockchain future applications conference, Al Zahrani further added that SAMA is mulling over the launch of new currency rollout in all banks.
