Egypt, EU ink USD63.6m grants agreements
(MENAFN) Egypt signed on Saturday two deals with the European Union (EU) on an USD63.6 million worth of grants.
The EU, under the grant agreements, is to help fund sanitation as well as renewable energy initiatives launched in Egypt.
The first USD52.2 million grants are to be directed towards the financing of the major sanitation project dubbed as the Kitchener Drain depollution project.
The second USD11.4 million grants are to finance Egypt's reform plans in the areas of water and renewable energy.
