Saudi oil output, export cuts sink deeper than promised

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia imposed cuts on oil output and export in the past months which are way lower than what was previously pledged, affirmed Khalid al-Falih, Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources.

The statement was made by the Saudi energy minister in Abu Dhabi at the 3rd edition of the Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum.

"Secondary sources suggest that OPEC production in December was already more than 600,000 barrels per day lower than in November," the minister unveiled.

"As the new 1.2 million barrel cut materializes, we should start to see the impact positively reflected in inventories," al-Falih added.
