Iraq seeks UK for closer economic relations
(MENAFN) Iraq is targeting the UK for closer bilateral relations and cooperation within various areas, mainly in economy and trade, confirmed Iraqi President Barham Salih.
During discussions with British Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox, the Iraqi president hailed the endorsement the country received from the UK.
Both sides addressed during their meeting means to strengthen and develop economic and trade collaboration.
British support, a presidential statement said, was extended to encourage economic and trade relations between the UK and Iraq.
