Fall to 2.4 percent in Moroccan economy

(MENAFN) Morocco witnessed a slowdown in its economic growth during the third quarter of this year to stand at 2.4 percent compared to the 2.5 percent growth recorded in the second quarter.

High Commission for Planning (HCP) explained that this slowdown is attributed to a drop in non-agriculture sector, which hit 3.1 percent compared to 3.3 percent.

Meanwhile, HCP unveiled tertiary activities registered a boost to reach 2.8 percent from the previous figure of 2.9 percent.

HCP downgraded its economic growth projection for Morocco in July for this year from 2.9 percent to hit 2.7 percent.
