    Dewa locks lowest bid for 5th phase of Maktoum Solar Park

    (MENAFN) Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) stated that it has received the lowest offer of USD1.6953 cents per kilowatt hour (kW/h) for the 900-MW Phase Five of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park for using photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, based on the independent power producer (IPP) model.

    A statement from Dubai utility said that the phase will become operational in stages starting in Q2 of 2021.

    Dewa said it is building three other projects with a total capacity of 1.250 MW.

    It added the 900-MW Phase Five of the solar park will increase its production capacity to 2.863 MW.
