    Turkey discovers gas well

    (MENAFN)
Saturday, 17th of October: The president of Turkey has embarked on a new discovery of natural gas reserves. He boarded a Black Sea drill ship where he will be officially announcing the details of his new findings.

Erdogan's statement of their new findings was their second exciting surprise in the Black Sea, for they had already found historic natural gas this summer.

Erdogan addressed the ruling Justice and Development (AK) party deputies, on Wednesday, 14th of October, stating: "We will personally witness the efforts on site and announce the amount of the new reserves."

He added that the last discovery in August, of 320 billion cubic meters in the reserves of the Black Sea made by the drill ship Fatih, has made Turkey "Very Happy", and now more good news have come their way.

Fatih had already found the TUNA-1 well in the Sakarya Gas Field, close to Turkey's northern coast by almost 170 kilometers (106 miles), and Turkish officials are hopeful about finding even more reserves soon.

That discovery was the biggest in the history of Turkey, and officials have expressed that the gas from the well will be open for the rest of the world's use in 2023.
